Vintage Wedding Dress & Shoes

Firstly, I need to say that I’m a coronavirus time bride. This means shopping malls were closed during my shopping time.. Therefore, I bought everything from online shops. It was a little bit hard to match clothes without seeing in real but who cares! 🙂

If you want to make a vintage wedding look, this doesn’t mean that you need to buy everything from vintage shops. Because, the important thing to create a vintage wedding dress look is the details. 😉

As you can see from the photos, my wedding dress has really cute vintage details like its sleeve length, deep V neck design with buttons at the end and waist detail.. When I first see this dress, I can easily make it look vintage in my mind. I just need some small touches like matching it with correct accessories! Only difference I do to this dress is its tulle neck detail. I added these tulles there to catch a matchy look with my bridal gloves and hat.

It is a midi dress in light beige color. I like its skirt lenght and color. They give me the vintage feeling too! When it’s time to choose bridal shoes, I searched for something beige, pointed toe and low heels. This three, exactly give me the elegant vintage look that I’m looking for. Isn’t it too elegant girls?

Accessories to Complete your Vintage Look

Instead of a veil, I prefer to wear a bridal hat to complete my vintage wedding dress. I prefer the one with tulle, so it closes a part of my face which make it look more mysterious. 😉

Another accessory that I wear on my wedding day was bridal gloves. They look pretty nice even if it is a plain or detailed glove. Mine has small polka dots on it at the wrist part and iy was in a normal glove size. However, if your wedding dress is sleeveless you should have a look at long bridal gloves. They look fantastic with sleeveless dresses!

And pearls.. I prefer to wear pearls for my vintage wedding dress look. Because, I think pearls are made for weddings! I don’t know any other accessory gives that much vintage feeling. When I choose my pearl necklace, I pay attention to its size. Especially I wanted it to wrap my neck very well. In this way, pearls look much modern. In my opinion, you shouldn’t go for baggy pearl necklaces! I’m sorry but it gives me kind of grandma look feeling! Finally, I wear medium size pearl earrings to complete the look.

Hairstyle & Makeup Choose

For the wedding hairstyle, I prefer a tight low bun. It completes the elegant look I was looking for. Actually, I like when the bun gets smaller therefore I cut my hair for this bun 😉 Because mine was really longgg!

For the makeup, I prefer a very natural one. I want to make it look effortless but fresh. Just wearing my favorite everyday lipstick.

White Wedding Bouquet

Romantic white roses.. My bouquet was with white roses and a white satin ribbon. If you don’t like roses, you can go for modern bouquets with cottons.. Be sure to scroll down to see the bouquets I picked for you.. However, white roses are also good option to use as a decoration item at home. Now, I’m using my dried up wedding bouquet as a decor in my living room..

Congratulations on your marriage Hilal! You look absolutely beautiful. This dress is so elegant and I love how you chose the vintage details such as the fascinator and gloves. It looks like it was such a special day! For my wedding day I also had a few photos taken in my grandmother’s vintage wedding dress from the 1960s.
